Signing up and building your first guidebook are the same job: the wizard at /start builds a draft from your existing listing, and you finish it in the editor afterwards.
The six steps
- Listing — paste your listing link, pick what kind of place it is, then press Build my draft. No link? Press Start from scratch.
- Cover & colour — choose one of your listing photos or upload your own, set the framing with the left-right and up-down sliders, then pick your heading and button colours.
- Your details — property name, your name or business name, your email, an optional phone number for guests' emergencies, and a Partner code if a holiday park gave you one.
- Check-in & WiFi — check-in and check-out times, WiFi network and password, how guests get in, and the property address on the map.
- Local recommendations — tick the nearby places you would send guests to. Each one becomes a card in your guidebook.
- Your free trial — add an email and password (or sign up with Google) to keep the guidebook, then press Publish my guidebook.
What happens when you publish
You go to Stripe checkout first, with nothing due that day, and come straight back. Your guidebook is then created and seeded from what the importer read, and you land in the editor for it on your dashboard. Nothing is published to guests until you publish it there.
If you have to stop halfway
Your draft is saved in this browser for 24 hours, so closing the tab or signing in partway through does not lose it. ← Start over in the left column throws that draft away and starts again — it asks first.
If it still will not finish
If checkout was cancelled you will see a note saying nothing was charged and your details are still there. Reply to any email from QuietStay and it reaches a person.
