The concierge is grounded in your own content. If your content does not say it, the concierge does not say it.
What it reads
- Every visible section of that property's guidebook, and the items in it that are marked guest-visible and not sensitive.
- Anything you added under Teach your concierge — pasted notes and text read out of PDFs, either for one property or for all of them.
- Your live shop items, with the price and how a guest orders them, so it can say "yes, that is £30, tap the menu" instead of "ask your host".
- What's On events, read live at the moment a guest asks something that sounds like an events question, on properties where What's On is switched on.
What it will not do
- It never invents a WiFi password, door code, price, time or address.
- Entry codes, WiFi passwords and your phone number are deliberately not given to it. Asked for one, it says so and points the guest to the Check-in, WiFi or Contact section, where the guest reveals it themselves.
- If a guest asks about a different property, it tells them to open that property's own guidebook.
- For an emergency — fire, gas, injury, break-in — it tells the guest to call 999 first, then you.
- Anything you have marked sensitive or hidden from guests is never sent to it at all.
How it keeps up to date
Edits to a guidebook trigger a re-sync of what the concierge knows, and a nightly sweep re-checks every published property as a safety net. A property you published seconds ago answers straight away — it reads the guidebook directly until the sync catches up.
If it answers something wrong
Fix the underlying guidebook item, or add a note under Teach your concierge — the correction is used from the next question. If an answer still looks wrong after that, reply to any email from QuietStay with the question and the property and it reaches a person.
