When it goes wrong

"That PDF has no selectable text (probably a scan)" when I upload a manual

That PDF is a picture of the pages rather than text, so there is nothing for us to read out of it. Open the file and try to select a word with your cursor — if you cannot, copy the details that matter into the note box on "Teach your concierge" instead.

We read the text out of a PDF and store only that text. A scanned or photographed document has no text in it, only an image of one, so the upload stops rather than saving an empty entry.

What to do

  1. Look for a text version of the same document — manufacturer and council sites usually publish one.
  2. If there is not one, open Teach your concierge, pick the property, give it a title, and type in the handful of facts guests actually ask about. Three lines that answer the real question beat a forty-page manual.
  3. Tap Add note. It is used from the next question.

If it still will not upload

Uploads are capped at 20 a day per account, so a long session of retries can hit the limit. Leave it a while and try again, or paste the text in as a note. If a PDF you can select text in keeps failing, reply to any email from QuietStay with the file attached and it reaches a person.

Still stuck? Reply to any email from us — it reaches a person, not a form, and we answer every one.
