Everything below is what a guest sees on their own phone, in their own language.
Opening it
There is a chat button floating in the corner of the guidebook, and an Ask the AI concierge button on the home screen. Tapping either opens a panel headed Ask about your stay.
The first thing they see
A greeting — Hi! Ask me anything about your stay — WiFi, check-in, what's nearby… — and three tappable starters: What's the WiFi?, When is check-out? and Anything good nearby? The starters disappear once they ask anything.
How answers are labelled
- An answer from your content carries a small line: From your guidebook: and the section it came from.
- An answer we had to find online is labelled Not from your host's guidebook — I found this online, with an Open link where there is one.
The one thing it asks them
After its first useful answer it asks once: By the way — what's the surname on your booking? It tells your host you've arrived. They can type it or tap Skip. If they answer, that name attaches to the stay and you are told.
When it cannot help
If you have switched the concierge off for that property, or your replies have run out, the panel shows: The AI concierge is taking a break right now — your host will help! Check the guidebook below, or message them directly, with a Contact your host button. The rest of the guidebook is unaffected.
The limits they can hit
A question can be up to 500 characters. One guest can ask 20 questions an hour, and one property answers up to 300 a day. Past either, they see Too many attempts — please wait a while and try again.
If a guest tells you it is not working
Ask them what the panel said — the wording tells you whether it is switched off, out of replies, or rate limited. If none of those fit, reply to any email from QuietStay and it reaches a person.
