Help Plans & billing

How it works

What happens to my bill when I add, remove or pause a property?

Your bill is worked out from the properties in your account that have a guidebook and are not paused, with a minimum of one. Add one and it joins your subscription straight away with a pro-rata charge; delete or pause one and it drops off the same way. Crossing 2 or 6 properties moves every property onto the cheaper band rate.

You never change a plan size by hand. QuietStay counts your properties and tells Stripe.

How the count works

A property counts when it has a guidebook that is not archived and is not paused. Duplicated guidebooks for the same property count once. The minimum is one, so an account is never billed for zero.

Adding a property

The new property is added to your subscription as soon as it exists, and Stripe charges the pro-rata difference for the rest of the current period. If the extra property takes you into a bigger band — 2 or more, or 6 or more — every property moves to the cheaper rate, not just the new one.

Removing a property

On the Properties page, open a property's ⋯ menu and choose Delete property. This removes the guidebook and its sections, store items and orders, and cannot be undone. The count drops and your subscription is adjusted the same pro-rata way.

If the property's QR code has already been scanned there may be printed posters in the house, and the dashboard warns you before you delete. Unpublishing or pausing is the safer choice there.

Pausing one property for the off-season

Open Billing & invoices, scroll to Your properties, and press ⏸ Pause on that row. The same control is on the Properties page under the ⋯ menu as Pause property. The guidebook goes offline for guests and that property drops off your bill until you press ▶ Resume.

Pausing everything

At the bottom of the Billing page, Pause everything has ⏸ Pause subscription. Membership billing stops at your next renewal and all your guidebooks go offline until you press ▶ Resume. You will see "Paused — billing stops at your next renewal and your guidebooks are now offline."

If the count on your invoice is wrong

A nightly job re-checks every account against Stripe and corrects a count that has drifted. If the next invoice is still wrong, reply to any email from QuietStay and it reaches a person.

Still stuck? Reply to any email from us — it reaches a person, not a form, and we answer every one.
