What guests see

What do my guests see if my membership lapses?

Nothing changes for 7 days after a membership ends — the guidebook stays live and guests notice nothing. After that, anyone opening the link sees a short "This guidebook is paused" page with your property name and your contact details instead of your content.

A lapsed membership is not a cliff edge for the guest who is arriving tonight. Here is exactly what they see, and when.

For the first 7 days: nothing changes

Whether the membership was cancelled, the free period ended without a card, or a payment failed for good, your guidebook stays live for guests for a further 7 days. Links, QR codes and the AI concierge all keep working. The Billing page shows the date guest access ends.

After that: the paused page

Anyone opening the guidebook link — including a scanned QR code on the fridge — gets a short page instead of your content. It says:

This guidebook is paused
The host's QuietStay subscription has lapsed, so this guidebook is offline for now. If you're staying here, please contact your host directly.

Under it, guests see your property name and your host contact details, so they still have a way to reach you. They do not see your WiFi password, entry codes, house rules or recommendations, and outgoing guest messages stop.

Nothing is deleted

Your content is kept for 90 days after the pause. Resubscribe inside that window and every guidebook comes back exactly as it was — same links, same QR codes, nothing to reprint.

Switching it back on

Open Billing & invoices and press Resubscribe. Guests get your guidebook back rather than the paused page.

If guests are seeing the paused page and you are paying

Check the Billing card at the top of the page — it says what state your membership is in. If it says active and guests still see a paused page, reply to any email from QuietStay and it reaches a person.

Still stuck? Reply to any email from us — it reaches a person, not a form, and we answer every one.
