Hostaway does not authenticate on a key alone. It expects an account ID and a key together, so QuietStay cannot check or use one without the other.
Fix it
- In Settings, then Integrations, set Provider to Hostaway. An Account ID box appears beside it.
- In Hostaway, open Settings, then Hostaway API. The page shows the account ID and the key.
- Put the account ID in Account ID and the key in API key.
- Press Connect.
Points that catch people out
- The Account ID box only appears while Hostaway is chosen. If you cannot see it, the provider list is on something else.
- The account ID is a short number, not the key. Pasting the key into both boxes is refused.
- Both values are used again on every nightly pull, not just at connect time, so a rotated key needs reconnecting with its matching account ID.
If it still will not connect
If the pair is refused rather than missing, see Those credentials were rejected by the PMS. Otherwise reply to any email from QuietStay and a person will walk through it with you.
