The compose screen prints the reason under the send button. Each one means something different.
What the message means
- "Enter a valid guest email." The address is not a valid email address. Check for a missing dot or a stray space.
- "Publish this property first so it has a live guest link." The property is still a draft, so there is nothing for the button in the email to open. Publish it, then send.
- "That address isn't a contact of this property yet." QuietStay does not send to strangers: the address has to already exist for your account, as a contact, an enquiry, someone who has replied to you, or your own login address. Sending from the compose screen normally adds the contact for you, so this usually means the contact save did not complete.
- "Couldn't save the contact" followed by a reason. The send is stopped before anything goes out. Try again, and check you are in the right workspace.
- "You've hit today's sending limit - try again tomorrow." 50 guest emails per account per day. The window is 24 hours.
- "Could not send - check the email and try again." The address was accepted by us but rejected on delivery.
What to do
- Re-read the address character by character, then send again.
- If the property is a draft, publish it and reload Messages.
- If you need the guidebook with the guest now, use Copy link on the compose screen, or copy a reply from Messages then Quick replies and paste it into their Airbnb or WhatsApp thread.
If it still fails
Reply to any email from QuietStay with the guest's address and the exact wording you saw, and a person will look at the send log for your account.
