This applies to card sales through your guest shop only. Free requests cost nothing.
How the money moves
- Your connected Stripe account is the merchant of record for the sale. Stripe's card-processing fees are your cost, and any dispute lands on your account.
- QuietStay's 2% is charged on top, as an application fee on the payment.
- The rest is paid out to you.
Stripe's card-processing fees plus QuietStay's 2% platform fee come off each sale; the rest is paid out to you.
What the 2% is worked out on
The order total — the item's price multiplied by the quantity the guest chose. It is rounded up to the nearest penny, so it is never less than 2%.
On a refund
Refunding an order reverses the payment and returns our 2% to you. Stripe keeps its card-processing fee.
What the earnings figures count
Earned this month, Earned all time, Extras sold and Best seller at the top of Extras & requests count only orders where money actually moved — paid orders, and fulfilled orders that have a Stripe payment against them. A request you have accepted but not been paid for is not counted, so the figures match Stripe rather than your to-do list. They are gross figures: fees are not deducted from them.
If your Stripe payout does not match
Compare one order at a time — the figures here are before Stripe's fees. If a number still looks wrong, reply to any email from QuietStay and it reaches a person.
