A property is often listed in more than one place, and every site hands out its own calendar link. One box could only ever hold one of them, so QuietStay keeps a list of calendars per property.
Add the second calendar
- Open Calendar & bookings and expand Connected calendars.
- Find the property and press + Add another calendar.
- Paste the other site's iCal export link into the new box. It ends in
.ics. - Press Connect. The message tells you how many bookings were added and updated, and how many feeds now sync every night.
The property then reads nightly auto-sync on — 2 calendars. Up to six calendars per property are allowed. To drop one, press the cross beside its box and then Re-sync now.
What happens once there are two
- The same booking listed by both sites is treated as one stay, so a guest never gets two of every message.
- Where one calendar carries a guest name or the channel it came from and the other does not, the richer one fills the gap.
- Sites often mirror a booking made elsewhere as a closed period. Those show as grey striped bars in Month view, never as bookings.
- If any one calendar cannot be fetched, nothing at all is changed that night. One site being briefly down is never read as "those bookings have gone".
If it still will not work
If the second link is refused, see It says "That link isn't a calendar". Otherwise reply to any email from QuietStay with the link and the site it came from, and a person will check it with you.
