This warning comes from the nightly job. It appears under Settings, then Integrations, naming the property and how long it is since the last success, and it means bookings from that calendar may be out of date. Doing it by hand shows Couldn't sync — nothing was changed or Couldn't reach that calendar on the property's box.
What it does not mean
Nothing was deleted, cancelled or altered. A calendar that cannot be read contributes no bookings, and QuietStay refuses to read that as "every booking has gone". Your stays, their door codes and their notes stay exactly as they were.
Common causes
- The export link has been rotated or turned off. Several sites reissue their export links; the old one then returns an error.
- The link needs a sign-in. If a password is required we get the sign-in page, not a calendar.
- The site was down or very slow. We wait 15 seconds for a calendar.
- It is not a public web address. Links to a private or internal address are refused.
Fix it
- On the booking site, open the calendar export page and copy the current link. Check it ends in
.ics. - In Calendar & bookings, expand Connected calendars and replace the link in the box.
- Press Re-sync now. The warning clears on the next successful sync.
With more than one calendar on the property, the message names the link that failed.
If it still will not work
Reply to any email from QuietStay with the property name and the link you are using, and a person will fetch it from our side and tell you what came back.
