Help Calendar & bookings

Setting it up

Can I add a booking, a door code or a note myself?

Yes. In Access codes, turn on "Different code each guest" for the property; you can then add a stay with its arrival date, departure date, surname and code. Every booking also takes a note, which that guest sees with their entry code.

Everything the calendar gives you can also be set by hand, and hand-typed codes, surnames and notes survive every later sync.

Add a booking by hand

  1. Open Access codes and choose the property.
  2. Turn on Different code each guest.
  3. In the row at the bottom of the list, set the arrival date, the departure date, the surname (optional) and the code.
  4. Press Add. An arrival date and a code are required; the booking shows in Calendar & bookings tagged Added by you.

To remove a stay you added, press the cross at the end of its row.

Set a code on one booking

On properties using Different code each guest, a Door code box appears on every booking in Calendar & bookings. Type the code and click away — it saves itself. Properties on one fixed code have no box, because every guest sees the same code from the guidebook.

If several bookings need codes at once, Access codes offers Random codes for N stays: it fills every upcoming stay that has no code with a random four-digit one, no two alike, and emails the list to your account's admins so you can programme the keypad.

Add a note to one booking

Press Note on the booking and type it, up to 500 characters. The guest sees it with their entry code, so it suits one-off instructions such as "cleaner in until 4:30, use the side gate". Notes also show on the Turnovers board for arrivals that day.

If a code or note will not save

Saving needs edit rights on the property. If you are a viewer, ask your account owner to raise your role, or reply to any email from QuietStay and we will sort it out.

Still stuck? Reply to any email from us — it reaches a person, not a form, and we answer every one.
