The offer is one tappable card, in the Departure section or on the home screen depending on your setting.
On the card
It shows what the guest gets — your "What the guest gets" line, or "Discount when you book direct" if you left it empty — plus "Valid until" and the date when you have set an expiry.
When they tap it
A small dialog opens asking for:
- Your email — required. This is the only thing that has to be filled in.
- Your first name (optional).
- A tick box: "Email me occasional offers and news from" your property.
- If you have the offer2stay opt-in switched on, a second tick box for offer2stay's own occasional emails, with a link to their privacy notice.
Underneath it says the boxes are optional and they get the code either way. Neither box is ever pre-ticked.
After they press "Send me the code"
The card becomes the code. They get Copy code, a button through to your Offer2Stay listing (and your own website when you have that), your terms, and "We've emailed it to you too." when the email went out.
The code appears on screen even if the email fails or the address has unsubscribed from you before. A guest who claims twice within a day sees their code again but is not emailed a second time.
Messages a guest can hit
- "That email doesn't look right — check it and try again."
- "Please use a different email address." — the address is on a small list of throwaway-mail domains.
- "Too many requests — please wait a moment and try again."
If a guest says they never got the email
The code is on their screen and can be copied from there, so they are not stuck. Their address may have bounced or unsubscribed previously. Reply to any email from QuietStay with the property and the address and we can tell you what happened to that send.
