Every guidebook has its own address, and it is yours to choose. Lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens, at least three characters, up to sixty.
Where to change it
- In the editor: the menu, then Property details, then Custom guest link.
- On the QR poster page for the property, under Your link.
Both save to the same place.
Change it
- Type into the box after
www.quietstay.co.uk/g/. Spaces and underscores become hyphens as you type, and anything that is not a letter, number or hyphen is dropped. - Or select Suggest to fill it in from the property name.
- Wait for the line underneath to read Available.
- Select Save link. It confirms with a tick.
Save link stays greyed out while it is checking, while the address is taken or too short, and when what you typed matches the address you already have.
What changes, and what does not
The new address works immediately, and the old one stops working — anyone holding the old link gets a not-found page. Posters printed from QuietStay are not affected: the QR code on them carries a permanent short code that looks up wherever the guidebook lives today, so it keeps working through any number of address changes.
Your own domain instead
Go to Settings, then Default branding, and open Custom domain per property (white-label). Enter a domain you own, such as stay.yourbrand.co.uk, then point a CNAME record for it at cname.vercel-dns.com and email enquiries@quietstay.co.uk so the certificate can be activated. Only published properties are listed there.
If the address will not save
See the article on "Taken — try another", which covers each message under the box. Otherwise reply to any email from QuietStay and it reaches a person.
