The cover photo is the full-screen background a guest sees before they open anything, and the banner across the top of the home screen. It is worth a minute.
Add or replace it
- Open the property from your dashboard.
- In the Design panel beside the editor, under Cover photo, select Add image — or Replace image if there is one already.
- Choose a photo. JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, HEIC or AVIF, up to 5 MB.
It uploads and saves on its own; there is no separate save to press. Replacing a photo removes the old file.
Move the crop
A listing photo is rarely composed for a tall phone screen, so under the cover sits a small preview reading "Welcome to" and your property name, with two sliders:
- Left – right
- Up – down
Slide until the hot tub, the view or the fireplace is in shot. Each slider saves when you let go. Centre is the default.
Photos already pulled from your listing
If you imported from Airbnb or Offer2Stay, open Cover, photos & colours from the editor menu. The photos we pulled sit in a grid under the cover — tap any one to make it the cover. Nothing is uploaded twice.
Photos on individual cards
Every box inside a section has its own Add image, and a Remove photo button once one is set. That photo shows on that card only, not on the cover.
If the photo will not go on
The two things that stop an upload are size and file type — see the article on photos that will not upload. If the editor says "Couldn't save that — check your connection and try again", the photo reached us but the setting did not; try again on a steadier connection. If it keeps failing, reply to any email from QuietStay and it reaches a person.
