Custom domains live in Settings, under Custom domain per property (white-label). Every published property gets a row with its own box, for an address such as stay.yourbrand.co.uk.
The two refusals
- That domain is already in use on another guidebook. The same address is saved against another property in the list. Scroll the list, clear that box first and click away, then set it on the property you want.
- That's one of our own addresses — enter a domain you own. You have typed a quietstay address. The part of your guest link that you choose on quietstay.co.uk is set in the editor under Property details, not here.
What to do
- Open the section and read down the list. The row that already has the domain shows it in its box with a tick beside it.
- Delete the text in that box and click away. The tick goes.
- Type the domain into the row you want and click away.
Saving it is only step one
The domain will not open until the rest is done. Point a CNAME record for it at cname.vercel-dns.com with whoever you bought the domain from, then email enquiries@quietstay.co.uk so we activate the certificate — usually the same day.
If it will not save at all
The section only appears for owners and admins, and only lists published properties, so publish the guidebook first if its row is missing. If the box still refuses, reply to any email from QuietStay with the domain and the property name.
