There are four different pages a guest can land on instead of your guidebook, and each one means something different.
"This page is having some quiet time"
The address is not live. Either the guidebook is not published, or the guest is using an address you have since changed. Open the editor: the pill beside the property name reads Draft or Live. Select Publish and it confirms with "Published — your guidebook is live". A QR scan reaches the same page, because the code redirects to the address.
"This guidebook isn't published yet"
The same situation, shown to you rather than to a guest — it appears when a preview link is opened on an unpublished guidebook.
"This guidebook is paused"
The QuietStay subscription for the account has lapsed, so guidebooks are offline. The page tells the guest to contact you directly, and shows your contact details if the guidebook carries them. Sorting out billing brings every guidebook back.
"This guidebook is temporarily unavailable"
Our end, not yours. The page offers a Try again button and usually works on the next attempt.
When you unpublish on purpose
The editor asks first: "Unpublish? Guests with the link (or mid-stay) will lose access until you publish again." Nothing is deleted, and publishing again restores the same address.
Edits a guest cannot see yet
Guest pages hold a copy for up to a minute. Publishing, unpublishing and changing the address refresh it immediately; ordinary edits catch up within seconds.
If it still will not open for them
Ask the guest to read the address back to you, or send them the link fresh from the QR poster page. If it is live for you and dead for them, reply to any email from QuietStay and it reaches a person.
