Setting it up

How do I set my logo and colours once for every new guidebook?

Open Settings, then Default branding, select Edit, and set your business name, logo URL, heading colour and button colour. New guidebooks start with them. Guidebooks you have already made keep what they have — change those in the property's own editor.

Default branding saves re-branding every property by hand. It is admin-level, under Settings, then Default branding.

Set it

  1. Select Edit.
  2. Business name (shown on guests' welcome page) — the name your guests see.
  3. Logo URL (optional) — the web address of an image you have already put online.
  4. Heading colour and Button colour — each opens your computer's colour picker.
  5. Select Save. It confirms Saved — applied to guidebooks you create from now on.

What it does and does not change

It is the starting point for guidebooks you create after saving. Existing guidebooks are untouched, and any property can be overridden in its own editor — see Colours, fonts and logo.

Your own web address for a property

The same pane has Custom domain per property (white-label), which serves a guidebook on an address you own, such as stay.yourbrand.co.uk. It lists your published properties.

  1. Type the domain beside the property and click away from the box. It shows saved.
  2. At your domain provider, point a CNAME record for that name at cname.vercel-dns.com.
  3. Email enquiries@quietstay.co.uk so we activate the certificate. This is usually same-day.

Two messages stop a bad entry: That's one of our own addresses — enter a domain you own means you typed a quietstay address, and That domain is already in use on another guidebook means it is set on one of your other properties.

If the colours do not appear

They only apply to guidebooks made after you saved. For one that already exists, open that property's editor and set its colours there. If it is a brand-new guidebook and still looks unbranded, reply to any email from QuietStay and it reaches a person.

Still stuck? Reply to any email from us — it reaches a person, not a form, and we answer every one.
