Account & settings
Your account, team members, branding, notifications and data.
Setting it up
How do I change my name, email address or profile photo?
Open Settings, then Your account. Edit sits beside your name and beside your email address, and Upload photo sets your picture. A new email address only takes effect once you open the confirmation link we send to it.
How do I change my password or sign out of every device?
Open Settings, then Password & security. Type the new password twice — at least 8 characters — and select Update password. The same pane has Sign out of all devices, which ends every session everywhere, including the one you are using.
How do I add my co-host or cleaner to my account?
Open Settings, then Team members. Choose a role, then either enter their email address so we send the invite, or leave it blank and select Create invite link to send the link yourself. Seats are unlimited on every plan.
Can I get a notification on my phone when a guest does something?
Yes. Open Settings, then Notifications, and select Enable on this device under Phone notifications. It is per device, so repeat it on each phone or computer you want pinged. On iPhone, add the dashboard to your home screen first and enable it from there.
How do I set my logo and colours once for every new guidebook?
Open Settings, then Default branding, select Edit, and set your business name, logo URL, heading colour and button colour. New guidebooks start with them. Guidebooks you have already made keep what they have — change those in the property's own editor.
How do I download my guest list and guest notes?
Open Settings, then Data export, and select Returning guests or Guest notes. Each downloads a CSV to your computer straight away, which opens in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets. A button is greyed out when there is nothing of that kind to export yet.
How it works
What are my ways of signing in?
Three: your email and password, Sign in with Google, or a one-time link emailed to you (Prefer no password? Email me a sign-in link, on the sign-in page). A team invite is a fourth door — the email takes your teammate to a Set your password screen first.
What can an admin, an editor and a viewer each do?
Admins do everything: guidebooks, billing, team, payouts, branding and settings. Editors change guidebooks, the store, the calendar and messages, but never billing, team or settings. Viewers can only read. The rules are enforced by the database, not only by what the screen shows.
Which emails does QuietStay send me, and who else on my team gets them?
Settings, then Notifications, switches each alert on or off for the whole account: guest notes, store orders and the Monday weekly digest. Settings, then Team members, decides which person receives the note and order alerts — owners and admins get them by default, editors and viewers do not unless you tick them.
Where does the money from store sales go, and who can set that up?
Into your own Stripe account, not ours. An owner or admin connects it once from Settings, then Payout account, using Connect payouts. Stripe's card-processing fees plus QuietStay's 2% platform fee come off each sale; the rest is paid out to you on Stripe's schedule.
What exactly does Delete all data remove, and can I undo it?
It permanently deletes every property and guidebook on the account, and everything inside them — sections, store items and orders, guest contacts, guest notes, concierge chats, view stats and bookings. Your login, your team and your subscription stay. Nothing can be undone, and it does not cancel your membership.
When it goes wrong
I can't sign in — my password isn't working
On the sign-in page select Forgot password?, enter your email, and we send a reset link. Opening it takes you to Set your password, where you choose a new one of at least 8 characters. If no email arrives, use Sign in with Google or the emailed sign-in link instead.
My teammate says the invite link doesn't work
The join page names the reason. This invite has expired means it is more than 14 days old, so create a fresh one. This invite is only for a named address means you locked it to a different email than the one they signed in with — they can select Sign out and switch account.
"Couldn't change that — you may not have edit rights on this property"
You are signed in as a viewer, or the change is one only an owner or admin can make. The rule is enforced by the database, so trying again will not help. Open Settings to see your role, then ask an owner or admin on the account to give you a higher one.
"Add an email and password to your account first" when I try to subscribe or buy
You built your guidebook without setting an email and password, so this is still an anonymous session and it cannot be billed or invited from. Use the "Protect your work" banner at the top of the dashboard: enter an email, choose a password of 8 characters or more, and press Secure my account.
